![]() ![]() Approach the book looking as much for Halloween how-to as ideas and inspiration.īecause that is exactly what you'll get. Yes author Lesley Pratt Bannatyne provides Halloween how-to advise. Although there are no step-by-step photographs (and color photographs), it is a well-written book packed with easy craft projects, ideas how to throw a fantastic Halloween party, quick and easy costume ideas that can be made within a day, and tips on how to create a great and scary Haunted Houses!ĭo not merely approach "A Halloween How-To: Costumes, Parties, Decorations, and Destinations" expecting a mere how-to book. They are not the type of craft projects that you would save for next several years or proudly display by Johanna Parker's designs. I own nearly all of Martha Stewart's Halloween magazines, a good number of BEtter Homes/Gardens' Halloween Special Editions (a couple of FAmily Circles' Halloween Special Editions, too) and several craft books devoted to Halloween theme, and all of them do not give as many good ideas as this book! However, nearly all craft ideas are quick and simple. This book would be a great place to get started with this fund raiser! In addition to ideas on how to set up a haunted house, the author also provides other decorations, costumes, and make-up tips/ideas! She, too, has included a couple of chapters on the history of Halloween. Some organizations sponsor haunted house tour to raise funds. ![]()
